Statement of Faith

I believe that there is only one eternal God who consists of three coequal persons - the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
I believe the Bible, the sixty-six books of the Old and New Testaments, is the inerrant and infallible word of God as given in the original manuscripts. God, through His divine providence, has maintained the authenticity of His written word from the time the original God–inspired manuscripts were written until today.
I believe that God created the heavens, the earth, and all that is in them in six literal twenty-four hour days.
I believe that God created men and women in His image.
I believe that, because of the intentional disobedience of the first man and woman in the garden of Eden, sin entered into the world. Thus men and women are sinners by nature and by practice. The just condemnation of sin is death - eternal separation from God in the lake of fire.
I believe that Jesus, the Son of God, was conceived in the womb of Mary, a virgin, by the Holy Spirit. God sent Him into the world to be the perfect, sinless sacrifice for sins on our behalf.
I believe that Jesus is fully God and fully man.
I believe that Jesus was crucified and died for our sins, that He was buried, and that He was raised from the grave on the third day. He ascended into heaven forty days later and sits at the right hand of God the Father.
I believe that salvation is by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone. It cannot be earned by good works. Jesus completed the payment for our sins on the cross.
I believe that everyone who confesses Jesus as Lord and believes in their hearts that God raised Him from the grave shall be saved and will have eternal life. It is impossible to lose your salvation if you are in Christ.
I believe that the Holy Spirit convicts the world of sin, justice, and righteousness. He baptizes all of those who come to faith in Christ into His body (the church). He permanently dwells within them, seals them in Christ until the day of redemption, and gifts them for service within the church.
I believe that water baptism and the Lord's Supper are church ordinances, not modes of salvation. As important as baptism is in the life of each believer, it is not required to have your sins forgiven and to receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.
I believe that God will rescue His church from the wrath that is to come in the seven-year tribulation period. We will be with Him forever.
I believe that Jesus will physically and gloriously return with His angels and saints at the end of the seven-year tribulation period. He will literally reign on the earth for one-thousand years.
I believe that at the end of the millennial reign of Christ, Satan and everyone whose names are not written in the book of life will be thrown into the lake of fire. God will create a new heaven and a new earth where He will reign forever. We will be His people and He will be our God. Sin and death will be no more!
